Je to ma prvni zalozena keska. Nema ambice stat se tou nejlepsi,
ale doufam, ze Vas zavede na jedno krasne stare misto o kterem
mnoho lidi ani netusi, ze tu je
Betlémská kaple na Zizkove je kostelem sboru
Ceskobratrské církve evangelické. Kaple se nachází v Prokopove
ulici uvnitr bloku cinzovních domu. Stavba vznikla na pocátku
dvacátého století v dobe okolo 500. výrocí upálení Jana Husa na
míste jámy po tezbe písku, která byla zavezena sutinami z
prazské asanace. Z tohoto duvodu musela být pod základy stavby
polozena cementová deska. Stavba kostela byla zadána
stavitelské firme Blecha a vznikla podle projektu architekta Emila
Králícka. Jedná se o stavbu kombinující prvky kubismu a pozdní
secese. Roku 1928 doslo k dostavbe bytové cásti. V roce 1938
byla pristavena sakristie nazvaná Svýcarská sín a zvonice
podle projektu architekta Bohumila Kozáka. V dobe asanace
Zizkova bylo plánováno, ze bude stavba znicena, ale
díky snahám tehdejsího faráre Frantiska
Potmesila doslo v roce 1975 k prohlásení
stavby za kulturní památku a tím i záchrane pred zbouráním. V roce
1992 byla provedena v interiéru malba studenty Vysoké skoly
umelecko-prumyslové, který zduraznuje kubistický duch stavby. Ve
svých pocátcích vyuzívala Betlémskou kapli skupina Plastic
People of the Universe. Krome nábozenských úcelu je kaple
vyuzívána i jako koncertní sín a charitativní centrum. V
poslední dobe se stavba dockala rozsáhlejsí rekonstrukce. Ke
