Even after 50 years of operation, the St Lawrence Seaway is still a masterpiece of engineering and Man's ability to "Think Big!"

This cache should be a simple field puzzle that hopefully will teach some interesting facts about the world famous St Lawrence Seaway while adding to your Geocaching Smilie count.  You will be required to do some simple math  to derive the final waypoint location. And you should be able to stroll easily to the final, hopefully while experiencing a huge ship making its way through the locks.

The math involved is pretty "Kid Friendly", so it might be a great cache for them to show off their talents. 

The posted coordinates will take you to an information sign. Read the sign carefully to glean the answers to the following questions:

Cargo has been shipped through the St Lawrence Seaway since what year?   XXXX

Great!  Now look for a similar sign a approx 60M right (SW). This Info sign will provide answers to the following questions:

There are XX different sites where locks are located and the seaway serves XX international ports and XX regional ports

The answer is the total of these 3 answers XX :

There is another similar sign to the about 32M left (NE) of the original sign, and here are the questions:

The seaway system flows through X Canadian Provinces and X American states. What is the total?  XX

Add the 3 results together.  

The dummy North Coordinate is N44 47.898   Add your puzzle total to that for the North Coordinate

The dummy West Coordinate is W075 20.824  Subtract your puzzle total for the West Coordinate
