Mama Loompah's Special Cake Book
Mama Loompah likes to make cakes. She makes lots of different
ones, fairy cakes, cup cakes and nice tasty sponge cakes. Lemon
ones, vanilla ones, chocolate ones and even coffee ones. However,
what Mama Loompah likes to do best is to make her friends their
favourite cakes. To help her remember which cakes her friends like
best she she writes them down in a special book.
One day Mama Loompah decided to invite all the squirrels of
Whiteley woods to come to a special tea party. She asked little
Robbie Robin who visits her garden to deliver the invitations to
each of the squirrels. Robbie Robin flew off around Whiteley
delivering the invitations to each of the squirrels. When he got
back to Mama Loompah’s garden she gave him a nice big piece
of his favourite peanut cake.
However, Robbie Robin had forgotten to deliver an invite to
Nibblett the squirrel who lived in Berry Coppice. Nibblett heard
all the other squirrels talking about the party and was very cross
that Mama Loompah had not invited him. So Nibblett decided to stop
all of the other squirrels having a nice time and stole Mama
Loompah’s special cake book from her kitchen whilst she was
out doing the shopping.
When Mama Loompah got home she went to look in her book to see
what cakes she needed to make for the party but could not find it
anywhere and was very upset. How was she going to be able to make
all her friends favourite cakes if she couldn’t find her
special book?
Can you help Mama Loompah find her special book?
Nibblett has hidden it somewhere in Berry Coppice. Luckily he is
feeling very guilty about hiding it but he is too ashamed to go and
tell Mama Loompah where it is hidden but he has left some clues so
that you can help to find it. All you have to do is visit Berry
Coppice 1 and Berry Coppice 2 and find the clues and then you will
be able to find Berry Coppice 3 where Nibblett has hidden Mama
Loompah’s book.
To get the most from your visit to this coppice I suggest that
you follow a circular route starting from this cache then taking
the small track going off to the right from the Berry Coppice sign,
this track is hard to distinguish in the Autumn when covered in
leaves but there is one there and heads off between 2 holly bushes.
Follow this path down to a small wooden bridge then your GPS should
guide you nicely (via the path!) to Berry Coppice #2.
