Geocache Description:

California Dreamin' was a hit record in 1965 as sung by the Mama and Papas. Written in 1963 by John and Michelle Phillips while they were still living in New York City, it expresses the desire to live in the warmer weather of Southern California. The song was first recorded by Barry McGuire, and subsequently was recorded by many artists including the Beach Boys, America, The Carpenters, Nancy Sinatra and Jimmy Buffett. The Mama and Papas consists of the two songwriters, as well as Denny Doherty and Cass Elliot. The song is ranked as #89 in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time

Recently, my wife (Pajarita) and I retired and are now looking to move. Our daughter moved to California 15 years ago and is not about to leave. Being our only child, we want to be closer to where she lives.

This geocaching event will  be held on Saturday, May 19 between 12:00 (noon) and 2:00 PM. Where?

Leo's

3999 Centerpoint Pkwy,

Pontiac, MI

I will bring along my collection of several of TB's, and am making arrangements for new caches to be placed so everybody who attends can be a part of the group FTF. There are a number of other caches in the area, some tougher than others, and I will have an "ask the experts" session for anyone who requests it.

I have requested seating for 20 people, but I ask that you log your "will attend" so we can ask for more space if necessary.
