Gueberschwihr, pittoresque et médiéval

 

Le village de Gueberschwihr est cité en tant que tel au 7ème siècle. De nombreux nobles y installèrent leur résidence au 11ème siècle. Signe de la richesse du terroir, de nombreux ordres et maisons religieuses y étaient possessionnés et y prélevaient la dîme en vin. Mais cette richesse attira les convoitises et le village fut pillé à plusieurs reprises lors des guerres. Aujourd'hui, Gueberschwihr, cité médiévale pittoresque, est un village caractéristique de la Route des Vins d'Alsace. Blottie à flanc de coteaux dans un écrin verdoyant, cette charmante bourgade qui a gardé son charme d'antan et son authenticité vous invite à découvrir son riche patrimoine : maisons à colombages, porches sculptés, architecture remarquable, fleurissement et vignoble réjouiront les yeux des curieux. Dominant la place du village, le clocher roman du 12ème siècle, joyau du village, est une des étapes incontournables de la Route Romane d'Alsace.

Gueberschwihr wurde schon im 8. Jahrhundert genannt. Mehrere Adelsfamilien ließen sich im 11. Jahrhundert dort nieder. Der Reichtum des Dorfes zog die Begierde der Feinde auf sich und Gueberschwihr wurde mehrmals ausgeplündert. Heute ist Gueberschwihr ein mittelalterliches pittoreskes Dorf, charakteristisch für die Orte der elsässischen Weinstrasse. Diese reizende Ortschaft, die ihren damaligen Charme und ihre Echtheit behalten hat, lädt Sie dazu ein, sein reiches Erbe zu entdecken.

Gueberschwihr was mentioned in the 8th century. Many noble families settled down in Gueberschwihr from the 11th century. Their wealth drew a lot of invaders and the village was plundered many times. Nowadays Gueberschwihr is a picturesque village, characteristic of the Wine Route with its rich heritage.
