Cache can be a quick cache and dash or the start/finish of a walk along the paths to collect the 9 caches placed throughout the woods. GPS position may vary due to tree cover. Best bring your own pen.
The Stenton Saunter is a strip of public woodland seperating the 'new' town of Glenrothes from the much older village of Thornton. Footpath is pretty much all on the flat, partly on a good blae path, but most is on dirt and can get very muddy when wet. Ideal to walk the dog, provided you were already wanting to bath Fido when you get home again!
Stenton Farm used to be the main farm that operated the fields around this area before Glenrothes was born. The drystane dykes of the fields are still in evidence but now are just quaint decoration and serve no real purpose.
Still a working **cough** free range chicken farm quite close to this cache so, please, keep dogs on a leash and not just 'under control'.
Its still grotty muddy along here - or it was in early spring....
