Geocache Description:

Herd of Cows?

Updated on 22/5/2021 as some of the information on the box has changed. A new email address has been set up.

Morrinsville is home to a collection of life-size cow sculptures throughout the town showcasing the history and heritage of Morrinsville. The "Herd of Cows?" project was born from a desire to put Morrinsville on the map. At the time of publishing, there are life-size 51 cows waiting to be found, as well as Mabel the mega cow at GZ. See more information and map at http://herdofcowsmorrinsville.co.nz

To log this cache you need to visit Morrinsville and do two things:

1. Locate the top sticker on the green box transformer box to the right of Mabel.

Locate a 5 letter word on the first line of the sticker, and a 6 digit number on the bottom line of the sticker. Send an email to wordnumber@gmail.com . For example, if the word was cache and the number was '123456' then send an email to cache123456@gmail.com. Put your username in the subject line. The text of your email can be blank. You will receive a confirmation email (remember to check your spam folder too) almost instantly if your answers are correct, at which time you may log your find with your photo.

2. Go for a walk or drive and find some of the herd, and find your favourite cow. Include a photo of your favourite life-size painted cow (NOT Mabel) in your log. You don't need to email or message me your photo. You don't need to be in the photo, but you need to include a key, Travel bug etc or note with today's date in your photos to show you actually visited the cows.
