St. Pauls - Armitage Bridge
A simple offset multi...
Armitage Bridge is dominated by the large former woollen mill of John Brooke and Sons, reputedly the oldest family business in the country, having been founded in 1541. The mill has now been converted into the Yorkshire Technology and Office Park.
St Paul's is set in a beautiful and peaceful churchyard and is an attractive mixture of old and new. Built in 1848 it was reconstructed following a major fire in 1987 so that the traditional exterior now houses a more modern and versatile space for worship and a variety of other activities.
