Join the GGA in "Magnolia Springs State Park" from 11:00am to 1:00pm for an informative class to teach everyone about the wonderful world of Geocaching! We will have a table located next to the Magnolia Springs History Center/Museum ready to answer any questions you may have about geocaching as well as many examples of Geocaches you may find on your adventures. There is free wifi at the museum which will allow you to download the app if needed.
For those experienced cachers out there, feel free to bring a friend or friends down to get a class about Geocaching as well as grab the many, many, many caches in the state park and the caches around Millen.
This will not be our normal monthly GGA event but you will still get credit and become a GGA member just by logging your attendance with us.
Georgia State Park Event
This event is located in Magnolia Springs State Park. All are welcome who observe and obey the park rules. There is a $5 parking fee required to enter the park. Permission has been granted to host this event.
A Note For All Geocachers
Are you new to geocaching or have a question about geocaching? Check out the official Geocaching Guide or the "Geocaching GA State Parks" guide. Please log your experience using the most appropriate log type. If the geocache is not up to the standard, note the issue(s) within your online log and we will provide the maintenance. If the geocache couldn't be found, a 'DNF' would be appropriate, please don't do a throw down. (it's bad form to log a "found it" for a container you've hidden) If you find a trackable, check out the FAQS on what you should do. Don't forget to bring some SWAG for trading. Have fun while Geocaching and don't forget to have some "Geocaching Etiquette"!
We look forward to seeing you there!
