Geocache Description:

This cache will appeal to landlubbers, Excise men & every buccaneer.

There once was a wicked pirate who used to use Porth Dyniewaid (the bay below the Little Orme) to launch his boat. On his last voyage he was ambushed on arrival at the bay by the excise men & a desperate struggle ensued. His boat or what remains of it was left by the Excise men at the roadside by the Welcome To Llandudno sign. Maybe you have seen it. It was left there to serve as a warning to any would-be pirates arriving in town by road.
All that remains of the wicked pirate is his stashed treasure chest & that has been recently discovered by Caneou.
If you are lucky enough to find it you may reward yourself - not only with a piece of treasure but also with automatic membership of E.S.P.A. - the Extra Secret Pirates Association.

Update 3 April 2011 - the remains of the boat have now been stolen & their whereabouts are not known. The authorities believe that the pirate has started to sail the high seas once again. LANDLUBBERS BEWARE!!!
