A 45 minute walk along a well defined path next to the Lerderderg River.
I was doing a recce quite some time ago, in an attempt to find "Charlie Mountain" in order to correct the coordinates for the owner. I never found the cache, and it has now been archived, but along the way I did discover this very interesting item.
If you venture further along the track you will also discover evidence from the mining history in this area. Unfortunately we didn't find any gold.
(The original cache container was provided by vk3jap, but someone saw fit to ransack it some time ago, so we have moved the cache to a safer location nearby).
When logging your find on line,your feedback will be extremely useful - so please add something about your Geocaching experience in your log, even just the condition of the container would help. Logs that are blank, or only contain the words "sent from my mobile device" will be deleted.
