Several years ago, I found a portion of a journal in an old trunk. I have attempted to decipher the journal many times without success. I have attached pages of the journal in an attempt to finally solve the century old mystery.
Authors note: Please remember that this geocache was placed in 2002 when the GPS technology was not even close to what we have today. That being said, some coordinates will not be spot on. You may have to expand your search area by up to 20'-30'. Also, the park is closed for 24 hours after a rain event. Do not attempt to solve this unless you are very prepared and in good physical condition. I recommend you take the necessary supplies for a daylong adventure. This should include paper, pencil, water, a lunch and patience. You should also record your starting coordinates before starting your search. I do not want to see anyone stuck in the woods overnight. Also, please obey all no trespassing signs. The park ranger has been very clear these have been placed for a reason, to control environmental impact in several areas. One portion of this cache is near one of these controlled areas. Please use good judgement.
