An event for like minded geocachers who like to dabble on the water. The navigable section of the River Avon extends from Pulteney Bridge to Bathampton Mill and is an idealic location for a relaxing trip up or down the river, or just for messing around in boats, so whether you are a "Wind in the willows" type or more of a Captain Pugwash, why not come along and join in the fun?
Those with their own boats can launch them from the Supermarket side of the river although access is narrow, so please do not bring anything too wide. There is a small jetty at this location and the event will be held here between 1pm and 1.30 pm.
Those without boats can hire them from the opposite side of the river. Please book ahead if you are attending to ensure availability. This is a beautiful stretch of the river and after the event I will be exploring the area for a while so please feel free to tag along.
THE IMPORTANT STUFF.... Remember that safety is paramount at all times. You are responsible for your safety at all times and if you are entering the water bring a life jacket or buoyancy aid. Children must be accompanied at all times by an adult. STAY SAFE AND HAVE FUN
