Geocache Description:


This beautiful and peaceful location is part of the former site of the state hospital, but now sits near the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort. Near this location, almost 200 hospital residents were buried in unmarked graves. I was amazed when I discovered this site...and sad for those who have been forgotten about. I don't think many people know this is here.

The cache is outside of the fenced area. Please do not search near the burial site. And don't worry - this is a public area even though you have to access it from Hyatt property.

Log only, so BYOP. There is a Dorchester's Legacy bracelet for the FTF.

Please dress appropriately for the attributes of this hide! There may be poison ivy and thorns are near ground zero.

Also - you may experience some bounce here... there are lots of trees. Because of the bounce, I will tell you that it is not on the beach and it is not in that tangle of old metal from the old fencing. And keep in mind the size of the cache. This is not a micro. The difficulty rating is mostly based on the GPS bounce.
