Mt. Angels most prominent landmark is St. Mary's Catholic Church. Driving into town from any direction you can see the church steeple above all else in the town. The church was dedicated in 1911 and was renovated/repaired after the spring break earthquake in the 90's. The church sustained major damages during the earthquake. There is a new historical plaque which has been recently installed just to the east of the St. Mary statue at the front entrance. The cache is log only, BYOP. Plenty of parking very close to hiding location except at mass times - Saturday evenings 5:30 PM and Sunday mornings. Cache is not on private property next to church parking lot.
