Geocache Description:

This series, FWP or Famous Wisconsin People, will acknowledge the accomplishments of some well-known (and maybe not so well-known) individuals from our state.

Gary Burghoff was born in Bristol, CT, but got his start in acting in high school in Delavan, WI. His big acting break came when he played Corporal "Radar" O'Reilly in the 1970 hit movie, M*A*S*H. He was the only cast member from the movie to be cast as a regular on the TV series. He left M*A*S*H after seven seasons that included six Emmy Award nominations and one Emmy win in 1977 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He appeared in 248 Match Game episodes during the 1970s.

After M*A*S*H he made appearances on other game shows such as Tattletales, Hollywood Squares and Showoffs. He works as a professional jazz drummer and a wildlife painter. He has also invented "Chum Magic," a fishing tackle invention that attracts fish towards the user's boat.

You are searching for a small container placed in honor of Gary Burghoff's accomplishments.

Do not enter from private property in the neighboring subdivisions. Obey parking signs. Stealth may be required at certain times.
