This cache is a tribute to our local puzzle-master, OBXed, who has provided the Geocachers living in or visiting in this area with some of the most in-depth and difficult puzzles and hides of any region in the country. He has provided us with many hours of discussion, sharing and comparing notes, and countless hours of hunting and frustration, finally to be rewarded by finding his elusive caches. Through his efforts, he has made us all better Geocachers. Yes, this cache is for you OBXed. May you be the FTF!

We first saw this type of cache while on a road trip through West Virginia. It was found at a desolate intersection late one night off of I-64. Immediately upon locating the cache, we both commented that this looked like the type of hide that OBXed would concoct. Hence, this cache is a tribute to someone who has afforded us many hours of solving and searching.

This cache is along the "Old Way" between the beaches and Currituck. It is located on a state right of way and not on the ground,in the trees, or on the wooden sign. Seasoned cachers should not experience any problem with this one; however beginners may have to spend a little more time searching. There is a hint and if it fails you, e-mail us and we will provide you with more help. Bring tweezers and a writing stick, you will need them. There is a log to sign but no room for anything else. Please replace the cache just as you found it, and do not drive onto private property on either side of the roadway.
