As we travel down our busy highways, often times we miss places like this little family plot that is tucked off the side of the road. It is the final resting place for a couple of pioneer families that were some of the earliest settlers of this area. The Genesee State Park commission now owns this property and has designated the area as Silver Lake State Park. The little cemetery is now being recognized and the lawn is trimmed and a path is cleared from the road to the cemetery. As is typical with very old cemeteries the stones are in need of attention and are either fallen or tilted. I hope that you enjoy the peacefulness of this sacred little place.
Please do not touch or move any stones or other parts of the cemetery in your search for the cache.
I would also ask that you please make an extra effort to hide this cache back the way I have hidden it, there is no need to pull bark off trees or dig for the cache, use your geo-sense to spot it, thanks! You can park well off the shoulder of the road but be careful if you cross the highway as it is a busy stretch of road.
I would like to give thanks to Roland Beck, Park Manager for reviewing and approving the placement of this cache.
