El Lugar
Chichén Itzá (en maya: Chichén Itzá, ‘Boca-del-pozo (chichén) de los brujos-de-agua (Itzá)’) es uno de los principales sitios arqueológicos de la península de Yucatán, en México, ubicado en el municipio de Tinum, en el estado de Yucatán. Vestigio importante y renombrado de la civilización maya, las edificaciones principales que ahí perduran corresponden al periodo denominado clásico tardío o postclásico temprano (800-1100 dC.).
La arquitectura monumental que ha llegado hasta nuestros días, que es emblemática del yacimiento, tiene una clara influencia tolteca. El dios que preside el sitio, según la mitología maya, es Kukulcán, representación maya de Quetzalcóatl, dios tomado del panteón de la cultura tolteca.
Chichén Itzá fue una ciudad o un centro ceremonial, que pasó por diversas épocas constructivas e influencias de los distintos pueblos que la ocuparon y que la impulsaron desde su fundación.
La zona arqueológica de Chichén Itzá fue inscrita en la lista del Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco en 1988.El 7 de julio de 2007, el Templo de Kukulcán, ubicado en Chichén Itzá, fue reconocido como una de Las nuevas siete maravillas del mundo moderno, por una iniciativa privada sin el apoyo de la Unesco, pero con el reconocimiento de millones de votantes alrededor del mundo.
Aparte de la pirámide de Kukulkan, en Chichen Itza hay muchos otros sitios arqueológicos para visitar, como por ejemplo, el Observatorio. La caché está en frente de este último, en una zona de descanso y venta de bebidas, no en las ruinas !!

The Place
Chichen Itza (Chichén Itzá) is one of the main archaeological sites of the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico, located in the municipality of Chichén Itzá (in Mayan: Chichén Itzá, 'Boca-del-pozo Of Tinum, in the state of Yucatan. Important and renowned vestige of the Mayan civilization, the main buildings that remain there correspond to the so-called late classic or early postclassic period (800-1100 AD).
The monumental architecture that has reached today, which is emblematic of the site, has a clear Toltec influence. The god who presides over the site, according to Mayan mythology, is Kukulcan, Mayan representation of Quetzalcoatl, god taken from the pantheon of Toltec culture.
Chichén Itzá was a city or ceremonial center, that passed through diverse constructive times and influences of the different towns that occupied it and that impelled it from its foundation.
The archaeological site of Chichén Itzá was inscribed on the World Heritage List by Unesco in 1988. On July 7, 2007, the Kukulcan Temple, located in Chichén Itzá, was recognized as one of The New Seven Wonders of the World Modern, by a private initiative without the support of Unesco, but with the recognition of millions of voters around the world.
Apart from the Kukulkan Pyramid, in Chichen Itza there many other archaeological sites to visit, as for example, The Observatory. The cache is in front of the latter, in an area of rest and sale of drinks, not in the ruins !!

Cuando buscar el cache
En Argentina el Geocaching todavía no es tan popular como en otros países, y es común que los geomuggles roben los cachés por simple diversión. Por lo tanto, busca y recoge el cache cuando nadie esté mirando, siempre intenta pasar desapercibido. y luego deja el caché tal y como lo hayas encontrado!
Estos Caches estan en lugares de dificil acceso, si vas a buscarlo, lleva uno de repuesto para reponerlo si es que ha desaparecido, asi, con tu ayuda, evitaremos que se pierda!, gracias desde ya!!
