Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the “Cadiz Cachex4ing” Series, which is located along Cadiz Road, within the Mojave Desert.

For additional information about the series, please reference the Main Cache Page for the Series - CCX4-000 Cadiz CacheX4ing Series (GC47A93).

This Cache Series is on a nicely graded dirt road, with a few rocky areas and several locations where river washes go across the road. The “wash” crossings have very soft sand. I would strongly suggest that this only be done in a high-clearance vehicle, preferably with 4x4 capabilities. I have driven the road in my 4WD Navigator, in 2-Wheel Drive, but given the inherent risks in off-road desert travel, I would suggest that you take multiple vehicles, in case of breakdowns. The road is not heavily traveled. You can easily go the entire route without seeing any other vehicles. You will be as much as 25 miles from any civilization, with very limited cell service and no services.

Whenever you travel in the desert, you should carry food, water and any other emergency supplies you think you may need.

On a series of this size, automated or “Cut & Paste” logs are completely acceptable.

Please put any detailed information or stories about your adventure on the Main Cache Page for CCX4-000 Cadiz CacheX4ing Series (GC47A93).
