Geocache Description:

Confluence of Willow and Thornton Creek by Historic LaVilla Dairy in Lakecity

This is our first cache placed in the Seattle area. We chose a little known open space behind the historic LaVilla Dairy just off of Lakecity Way. The trail starts out in an old apple orchard and turns into a dirt path through the woods. The trail provides glimpses of private residences and the confluence of Willow and Thornton Creeks where we caught glimpses of fish darting about in the shallows. The trail peters out in an a semi-open area criss-crossed with blackberry and morning glory vines. At the time we placed the cache, the signal was good. There is one other way into the cache that involves following a narrow, steep trail through the high blackberry brambles. We recommend parking at the following coordinates: N47 42.179 W122 18.060
