Pembrey Country Park is a large country park near the village of Pembrey on the south coast of Carmarthenshire, West Wales, near Llanelli.
The Park consists of some 5.2 square kilometres of land, of which 2.02 square kilometres is open to the wandering public. With its coastal setting, there are numerous sandy beaches to the south with views of the north of the Gower Peninsula. The inland areas of the park contain a number of visitor attractions.
The park served as a railway and an airport during World War II, and bunkers and pill boxes still remain today on view.
This cache is a small box, you will need to bring a pen to sign the log, there is room for smal swaps and there is a FTF badge.
Parking is charged at £5.00 a day, however there are a number of places to park on the outskirts of the park which are free, there is an area to the left just before the park sign where you can park and you can also follow through there to park in a number of free areas which leads to a dead end. The choice is yours.
This cache has been placed with the kind permission of Pembrey Country Park.
