An urban hide next to a little piece of
'Home'
This cache will take you to
the home of Austin Saengerrunde. The Saengerrunde was founded in
1879 with the primary purpose to promote and enjoy German singing
and tradition. It is the oldest ethnic organization in
Austin.
Scholz Garten next door was
purchased by the Saengerrunde in 1908. Shortly after the purchase
of the property the adjacent Hall was added.
The Saengerrunde has two
active choirs: Maennerchor and Damenchor. Rehearsals are held on
Monday evenings with the exception of summer months. Feel free to
