Simon Peter son of Jonah was the first disciple called after Jesus started his ministry. Peter and his brother Andrew, who was also a disciple of Christ were from the city of Bethsaida in the province of Galilee. Originally a fisherman he played a leadership role and was with Jesus at events witnessed by only a few apostles such as the transfiguration. Peter is the author of to epistles of the New Testament and is thought to have infuenced the writing of the Gospel of Mark. According to Christian tradition Peter was crucified upside down in Rome under the orders of the emporer Nero around 68 AD. This is a very small cache in a playground area The hide is on the outside of the wooden fence. . I brought my kids here to play and figured I'd place a cache here.
