This is an easy road side cache, in the Knysna forest, enjoy the surroundings, beware of muggles! You will have to pay a daily conservation fee, or use your wildcard, to gain access to the site. Bring your walking shoes, the circles in the forest daywalks starts here, 3km or 9km.
Due to this cache being muggled several times , we replaced it a with a micro.
NO place for trading - very small plastic container, with only a logsheet - please bring own pen.
Dalene Matthee was born in Riversdal, went to school there and for the rest of her life, stayed in the Southern Cape. She wrote many books, and was well known for her books about the Knysna Forest and elephants.
After she died in 2005, a monument was erected at this spot in the forest, where she came for inspiration.
