Geocache Description:

Mayar, with its name originating from either the Gaelic word "m'aighear" meaning "my delight" or "magh" meaning "plain" is the most southerly hill of the Mounth plateau in Angus. Mayar rises to a height of 928m (3045 feet).

When we set the cache we had great 360 degree views. Look due south and you will spot the Backwater reservoir peeking between the hills. To the east is Driesh (Hs first Munro), and the Mounth to the north and east.

Make sure you are fully aware of precautions you must take for all weather conditions. The weather can change quickly.

Do not attempt this cache unless you are properly equipped for walking in the Scottish mountains.
