Train Trestle Treasure Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Red90: It has had a great run. Unfortunately the hiding spot is compromised and the area is just too busy now to feel confident in a hide being safe. Sorry to let this one go.

Geocache Description:

The cache is within sight of the train trestles in Silver Springs. Fairly easy walk which is mostly on paved paths with no altitude changes.

This cache, my second one, I hid with my friend, Matthew. We hid this cache on New Years Day to start 2003 with a fun activity. Please take pictures of yourselves or anything else that you find interesting nearby but try not to give away the location of the cache. Since this train trestle is part of the CPR main line it is quite likely that you will hear a train whistle and see (feel) a big freight train go rumbling by. The train trestle is a favourite spot for teenagers to dive into the river during the summertime, but I wouldn't recommend it because it is very dangerous and the CPR Police won't be very happy with you. The original contents of this cache were a log book and pencils, a camera, a stress ball, a biner, nailclippers, a key ring, a hockey CD, some mini bungee cords and bag holders.
