Fansipan or Fan Si Pan is a mountain in Vietnam, the highest in Indochina, at 3143 m. It is located in the Lao Cai province in Northwest Vietnam, 9 km southwest of Sa Pa Township in the Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range. Fansipan is dubbed "the Roof of Indochina".
The cache is located at Fansipan summit. The altitude is about 3142 m. Accuracy is 4 m.
The topography of Fansipan is varied. Muong Hoa Valley, at the lowest altitude (950 to 1000m), is created by a narrow strip of land at the base on the east side of the mountain. It can be climbed in a steep and fairly strenuous hike.
A very small base camp is located at around 2800 m where accommodation and food is offered.
The cache is a pill’s bottle. Inside there is 18 karat gold micro model of the Mi-28 'Havoc' Russian’s all-weather day-night military tandem two-seat anti-armor attack helicopter and logbook. Bring the pen please.
