Hinter den schuldlosen Bäumen
langsam bildet die alte Verhängnis

Rainer Maria Rilke, a German Language lyrical poet of the early 20th century, stayed in Duino Castle between October 1911 and May 1912, the guest of Princess Marie of Thurn und Taxis. There, in 1912, he began the poem cycle called the Duino Elegies (Duineser Elegien).

This is the fourth of a series of "poetic caches" placed along the "Sentiero Rilke" to draw geocachers to this amazing scenic walk, while at the same time celebrating the poetry of Rilke.
The number written at the beginning of the logbook is needed in order to find the coordinates of the 7th "bonus" cache.
This cache is placed behind a blameless tree, where according to this short poem, there are other interesting things happening.
Questa è la quarta di una serie di "cache poetiche" nascoste lungo il "Sentiero Rilke" per attirare i geocacher a questa incredibile passeggiata panoramica, e simultaneamente per celebrare la poesia di Rilke.

The tree is near a path - no need to fight through the thick vegetation to get there! Please put the cache back exactly as you found it.

Update 6/01/2020 I found the cache in a slightly different position than where I had left it so moved it back even though recent finders seemed to think it was good where it was. Spoiler pic description is important!

January 2020 unfortunately visitors over the holiday season used the footpath leading to the cache as a toilet area and the path is now dotted with toilet paper. Not nice!
Gennaio 2020:Purtroppo i turisti durente le vacanze invernali hanno usate il sentiero che conduce alla cache come un gabinetto e la zona adesso è pieno di carta igenica.La gente!
