Geocache Description:

A Church Micro at St Michael's church, Owermoigne.

The exact age of the chuch is unknown, but the first rector was instituted in 1333. The west tower is the only original structure, the rest of the church was rebuilt in 1883 with some mediaeval windows in the chancel.

Although the church has undergone various restoration, it still retains its basic design. During the major restoration of 1883 the wooden furnishings and most of the memorials were removed and never replaced.

The font is made of Portland stone and dates from the 18th century. It was removed during the rebuilding in 1883 and later found in the rectory garden filled with flowers.

To find the cache, take a walk around the outside of the church and "Rest A While" with Bill Colclough ABCD - 2000

The cache can be found at:
N50 39. B (C+D) (D-C))
W002 19. (C+D) B (A+D)

Checksum = 62

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
There is also a Church Micro Stats page found via the Bookmark list.
