Geocache Description:

One of the many unknown view points on Phuket Island, well worth a visit. I guess no Taxi driver will know it...

I came to this location the first time about 15 years ago. In those days the RADAR station was just being built. Now it is complete and you cannot go up to the top of the hill. But the cache location and the single picknick table is accessible, the distance to the station is still about half a mile. Pass the cache location by about 50 meters and you can park just in front the stairs to the picknick place.

The way up to the cache is well paved and you will have some great views both to the east and west coast of Phuket Island. Parts of the road are quite steep, so make sure that your car/bike has enough power to go up and the brakes are working properly.

A hint to find the right way: you have to go up the hill from the east side. Even though the cache at Bangwad Lake (GC1N3MP) is visible the way from there is a serious hike through the forest and not recommended. From the Chao Fa West Road turn off at the sign to "Villa Zolitude", next to a Family Mart...
