CONGRATULATIONS TO DJ AND CAL FOR THE FTF ! WAY TO GO !

Quechee Gorge is over a mile in length. This awesome natural feature was formed over thousands of years ago due to many climate changes including the ice age. At that time a huge ice sheet covered the Ottaqueche River. Thousands of years later as the climate began to warm, the river began to flow again and began to work its way through the present Quechee Gorge. It began eroding not just the soft mud, but the bedrock ridge as well. The river slowly ate away at the hard schist of the bedrock and created this spectacular gorge. If you would like to learn more about how this gorge was formed click on the following link: (visit link)
