Hameau gallo-romain de la Croix Guillaume
The Croix Guillaume's gallo roman hamlet

De 20-40 ans après J-C jusqu'à la fin du 3 siècle , des hameaux étaient présents sur les plateaux du Piémont vosgien dominant les vallées des deux Sarre, de la Bièvre et de la Zorn .
Ces hameaux étaient constitués de 2 à 4 familles et séparés de 2 à 5 km les uns des autres.
Ici , sur le site de "La Croix Guillaume" à 470m d'altitude, on y retrouve le temps d'une balade en bordure du GR5, sur une surface restreinte de 7000m², habitations, nécropole, sanctuaire, carrières de gré et terasses pour l'agriculture.
Les hameaux voisins sont Saveux, Belle Roche et Deux-Croix.

From the first to the end of the third Century, some hamlets were present on the plateaux of the Vosgian Piemont above the both Sarre, Bièvre and Zorn Valleys.
About 2 or 4 families lived in these hamlets which were separated from approximatively 2 or 5 km from other ones.
Here, in 470m in altitude, we can see during a walk close to the GR5 a 7000m² small area with habitations, necropolis, sanctuary, quarry and terrace cultivation.
The neighbouring hamlets are Saveux, Belle Roche and Deux Croix.
