Pocket Pond Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Sox4Life: I find it necessary to archive this cache to free up the space for a trail series we plan on setting out. The cache hasn't had a visitor for over a year so anyone who was going to go for it has already done so. I'll probably edit one of my other existing caches and put the puzzle there.

My first mystery cache.

Going to the Pittsfield Transfer Station today, I noticed a little pond just off the road. I had been down this road hundreds of times and never noticed this pond. As I've been looking for a place to put a unique cache, I decided to check it out. Not only was this a great place to put the cache I had in mind, I found a superb spot to put a large container I've had hanging around on my porch for quite awhile. The above coordinates will bring you to the cache container. In the container, you'll find three bags. One bag holds swag, both kid and adult (LLB headlamp, travel alarm clock and crank flashlight). The second bag is for trackables. The third bag holds various tools. Please take care in removing the bags from the container so the bags won't rip. What you won't find in the container is a traditional paper log book. In order to find the log, you'll need to use one of the enclosed tools. The log will be located at least 4 feet away. Once you find the log, you'll need to sign it with one of the markers included in the tool bag (make sure the cap is securely replaced). Please don't use a "found it" geo sticker when signing the log or include any hints where you found the log when you write up your find. You don't want to spoil the fun for the next cacher. During the Spring and Summer, you'll want to load up on the bug spray as the skeeters are pretty nasty here. Lastly, as this spot could use a little help, please CITO whenever possible.

Congrats to my buddy medicdrew47 for being ftf!
