Who: You! Whether you are a geocacher or muggle! Everyone is welcome!
When: Saturday, April 21st, 2018 11am to 4pm
Where: Big Falls Inn, 11818 Philadelphia Road, White Marsh, Maryland 21162
Why: To share geocaching stories, share stories of Tony, and listen for his name to be read along with the other fallen riders!
Tony Hinton, as many of you know, was killed in a collison with another vehicle on September 27th, 2017. He is missed by so many people! Come and join me and many others that will be there remembering their fallen loved ones, as each name will be read aloud. This will be the FIRST reading of Tony's name from the Wall and ALL are invited to attend.
I will be there early to secure a picnic table close to the posted coordinates. I am sure that I can round up a few items for door prizes!
If you are planning to ride your motorcycle: Parking is at the venue!
If you are planning to drive you car: Car parking is at the PARKING coordinates just up the street! There is a FREE shuttle which will deliver you to the venue and return you to your vehicle whenever you are ready!
This location has GREAT pit beef, pit ham, and pit turkey! Big sandwiches for not a big price! Other foods are available as well as soft drinks and hard drinks!
There will be lots and lots of people at this location for this day! All will be there remembering their loved one who is no longer with us!
Q: Will there be bikers there?
A: Yes. Many will be associated with a club and others will not!
Q: Is this a FAMILY Event?
A: Yes. There will be non-riding people, family and friends who are gathered for one purpose, to remember their loved one!
Q: Is Dixiegurl paying for the food and drink that I consume?
A: NO. Food and drink are available, however, the cost of food and any beverages is your responsibility.
Q: Will there be door prizes?
A: Well, there is no real "door" but I will have some "Picnic Table" prizes (you will not be winning a picnic table)
Q: Should I be scared of all the bikers at this location?
A: NO!!! Everyone here, biker or not, is here for one purpose. To remember a loved one which has passed! No trouble has ever occurred in the 10 years that I have attended this event!
Q: Will I be coming to this event?
A: YES! Log your "Will Attend" and I will see you there!
Q: When will Tony's name be read aloud?
A: Names will begin to be read at approximately 1pm. (If time changes, an announcement will be made)
Q: What else is going on at this location?
A: A DJ is usually present providing music, and of course, FOOD! Did I mention the the PIT BEEF is GREAT! Also, there will be lots of motorcycles to look at! LOOK, but please DO NOT TOUCH!
Q: Why is the Event so Long?
A: Everyone is welcome to stay however much time that they wish! They can stay for a few minutes, or the entire time, or somewhere in between. Please, plan on attending when the names will be read! That would be a great honor to Tony! But, this is entirely not necessary! Tony would say, "let's leave after the names are read and get all the geocaches in the area!"
Hope to see everyone there!
Let's have a great day! A GeoArt is available nearby. Puzzles are a quick solve. Caches are quick finds! Of course, there are many other caches in the area too! You can cache before and/or after the event or just attend the event!
So, let's get together, talk geocaching, and remember a fallen biker and much loved geocacher, Wizard!
There will never be another FIRST in reading of Wizard's name at the wall. Let's show our love and support for our fallen Geocacher!
