Geocache Description:

The Kauri Grove is situated on Shakespeare Road, at the Southern end of the Shakespeare St bridge which crosses the Waikato river. This bridge is known locally as the "Lower Bridge".
The Kauri Grove was planted by the Rotary Club of Cambridge to celebrate 50 years of Community service to Cambridge and the district.
There are some 30 trees are in this Grove. A number of new ones were planted in 2002 and 2004 in the rear of the grove to fill in some gaps.

On the bank below the Kauri Grove fronting on to the Waikato River, two major plantings were done in 2002 and 2004. In 2004, over 300 shrubs of all types were planted with much help from Year 9 Cambridge High Science Classes.

From this point you can see the High level bridge and the low level bridge, and is the point where Karapiro Stream enters the mighty Waikato River. Across the river is one of the last moorings that small ships could navigate up the river from Port Waikato before it got to shallow and to narrow...

Andersen Family’s first Cache we have made. Difficultly level is due to the type of hide, at the way points it is in plain view, there is no need to dig around. Watch out for Muggles.

There is room for trackables.
If you think the hide is worth a favorite point, I would appreciate it.
