Geocache Description:

This is a nice walk in Townsend Forest that brings you to some interesting rocks.

We decided to take a family walk to work off the turkey and did a 5 mile loop in the snow. Along the way we placed this cache. It's a regular-sized plastic container with some toys and stuff inside.

The "forbidden rocks" are surrounded by barbed wire for some reason. You do not need to cross the barbed wire. The cache is underneath an outcropping of some other rocks, covered with sticks.

There are a lot of trails that run through this forest. We started on the NH side at N42 42.360 W71 42.961, then took a right at N42 42.146 W71 41.967 and another right at N42 42.232 W71 42.722 which is about a mile each way. There may be shorter ways in from the MA side.
