[RO] Pasul asigură legătura dintre valea Bistriței și Depresiunea Giurgeu, peste culmile estice ale Carpaților Orientali. Șoseaua care traversează pasul, DN12C, face legatura între orașele Bicaz și Gheorgheni, traseul său de 58 km trecând pe langa Lacul Roșu și prin Cheile Bicazului.
[HU] A Pongrácz tető a Keleti Kárpátokban helyezkedik el, ez a határ a az Aranyos-Beszterce vőlgye és a Gyergyói medence között. Az itt áthaladó DN12C jelzésü út köti össze Gyergyószentmiklóst Békáss-al. Ezen út halad el a Gyilkos-tó mellett és a Békási-szoroson kereszűl.
[ENG] The peak is part of the Eastern Carpathians, it is the border between the Bistriţa river valley and the Gheorgheni basin. Is passed by the DN12C road witch connects Gheorgheni and Bicaz. Along this road is the Red Lake and Bicaz Gorge.
