an old dam. Dams like this were often used to supply water to fire hydrants. Always found uphill of small towns so gravity would supply pressure. This might have been an early source, and bgr dam (see cache) a later source as the town grew.
some people have come in from hard to find places. To find it, start at where the old RR grade (now snowmobile trail) ends near the Courthouse in Eagle River.
