A simple drive in cache placed in the beautiful area of Rowardennan. The cache is located near the Ben and Loch Lomond.
To grab the cache, you have to stop for a second on the drive way of 'Blairvockie Farm', note that parking and stopping at the side of the road is NOT ALLOWED! The owner of the property has given permission for all cachers to park their car for a couple of seconds on the driveway.
Rowardennan is at the northern end of the public road, but the West Highland Way passes through the village and continues north along the side of the loch. Rowardennan has a hostel and camping for hikers on the West Highland Way. A small passenger ferry crosses the loch to Tarbet on the opposite shore.
Loch Lomond is a freshwater Scottish loch, lying on the Highland Boundary Fault. It is the largest loch/lake in Great Britain by surface area. The loch contains many islands, including Inchmurrin, the largest fresh-water island in the British Isles, although the loch itself is smaller than many Irish loughs. Loch Lomond is a popular leisure destination and is featured in song.
Ben Lomond , 974 metres (3,196 ft), is a distinctive mountain in the Scottish Highlands. Situated on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond, it is the most southerly of the Munros. Ben Lomond lies within the Ben Lomond National Memorial Park and the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, property of the National Trust for Scotland.
