This cache is slightly smaller than a 35mm film container and contains only a log sheet. It is at one end of a public footpath through woodland owned by Mr Owen Owen - a retired surgeon who saved lives and eased the pain of many patients in the area.
Several caches on a circular route through this woodland are best approached after parking on the High Street in Bethesda and following a lane beside a block of flats, called Arafa Don, down to a footbridge over the river Ogwen. The B4409 road next to this cache, forms part of the circular walk. The Surgeon's Walk has a number of moderately steep gradients. Children and dogs should be kept under control as the path is somewhat exposed in parts.
