Geocache Description:

The FINAL CACHE CONTAINER is located at: N37 BC.GIE W089 FJ.AHD

The coordinates given in the listing will take you to the CHESTER WELCOME CENTER deck for a great view of the Chester Bridge and the mighty Mississippi River. The 1st statue on the trail - Popeye - can also be seen near this location. Please refer to the list of statues for the coordinates and information you need to locate to find the final cache. Good luck!
The "Popeye & Friends Character Trail" is a trail in progress consisting of Bronze and granite statues of Popeye characters placed in various areas throughout Chester, Illinois. Popeye The Sailor, created by Elzie Crisler Segar, has been overlooking the Mississippi River in Segar Park for more than 35 years. So far, 7 other statues (12 characters have joined Popeye on the trail. The plans are to add other characters through the year 2020 for a total of 21. This trail will be an adventure for those seeking out all the characters from "Popeye The Sailorman" films.
You will need to visit each of the statues and find the information needed for each coordinate number in the final cache. I've listed the statues by the year they were placed. However, you may visit them in any order that you choose.  Be careful that you match the correct number with each letter. There are parking areas close to each location. At the final, please park and walk to the cache site. Don't park in a driveway or on the street. Look around at the final for another piece to the puzzle. The container is camoed and water-tight with Popeye and/or Friends hiding inside. I hope that you enjoy your visit to Chester. Please feel free to stop and visit other places and attractions around the area.Thank you for trying my 1st multi-cache.
