Geocache Description:

Come and grab some of the finest scenery and caches in Pennsylvania while getting together with fellow geocachers to share stories and camaraderie. Ricketts Glen State Park boasts 12 caches within its boundaries. There are 22 waterfalls and Ganoga Falls is over 94 ft high! There are over 26 miles of hiking trails, and that is where caching comes in!

Cachers will meet between 9:00 and 9:30 AM at the supplied coordinates to organize groups to tackle the many caches. There are four to five different routes you can take to find several caches.Due to the nature of these caches and distance, it will not be possible to have an organized lunch.Everyone will need to “BYOL” (Bring your own lunch), and eat at your convenience.Remember to bring lots of water and good hiking shoes.

With this many caches and only so much daylight you may want to consider camping to get the full effect of the park. Campsites are $15/night and with this link (visit link)
you can make your reservation. Because it is the weekend, campsites require a two night minimum. Some of us are staying Friday and Saturday nights. Email Downward or walnut-tripper with your site number, so we know who is staying and where they are staying. Sites can hold a maximum of five adults if you prefer to share a site. If you would like to camp and there is no vacancy, please email one of us with your concerns. We would like to help if we can.

Around 5 PM, we will organize a post caching BBQ to culminate the day’s event. Feel free to bring sides or snacks that are non-perishable to share. Walnut-tripper will provide hot dogs for hungry cachers.

Please be warned, you are under no obligation to complete our event.
