Deke's Dyke Trail/DDT
Sometimes we have a companion through a chapter or more of our life. Through 'thick 'n thin', good and bad times. It for sure don't have to happen in Vegas...
Deke has been a close friend of mine most of my life. When things have gone wrong, when I've missed the obvious, when I've mis-read the not-so-obvious, he's been there. Usually laffing at me for my DOH moments, and I have Not usually appreciated it. I am not so evolved. And I swear I get set up for it each time!
So I'm trying to pass it forward with as much grace as possible.
This is a great Dyke Trail used frequently by dog-walkers, dog-drivers (you'll see..), strollers and especially fisherman. It is exactly the kind of trail Deke would like, so it is a pleasure to share with you.
This is a 10 geocache series with an 11th/bonus Final Cache. The Final: Collect a Number and Letter Code from each cache ie; A=0 to solve the location that is within 2 KM's. N49 AB .CDE W121 FG.HIJ
WARNING! Deadly Thorns EVERYWHERE at times. Wear Shoes!
Please follow the City's Posted Parking rules. There are a few pull-outs. Yes, you can park on the side of dyke if you are careful. Everyone does, just don't block others from driving thru.
DO NOT drive on a road lower than the dyke itself. Ok, I did. But I didn't let Bella run while I drove. Only when she sat there pretending Not to hear me and would not come to the car and get in!
