Geocache Description:

Follow in the footsteps of General John Stark and learn a little history on this cache adventure.

Please note, Park Curfew is 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Please respect the curfew. Also, part of the cache route is on the Heritage Trail which borders the "YDC" (Kids Prison) property. You do not need to cross YDC property except on the trail.

This multi cache will give you a tour to learn some of the history of General John Stark, NH's Revolutionary War hero and the man who coined our state motto "Live Free Or Die". You will be looking for signs, plaques and monuments with information about General Stark. Gather the numbers and you will be able to fill in clues to the next waypoint and eventually the final cache.

The way this works is that once you fill in the number, you can see what digits are assigned to letters. Then replace the letters in the coordinates with the numbers.

For example: If an answer is 1 2 3 4 and it says that A=2nd number, B=4th number...

Then A=2 and B=4

So... N 43 00.5AB would be N 43 00.524

Ok, Here we go!

This cache starts (Main Coordinates) at the Stark House where General Stark lived just off of downtown in Manchester. Don't spend a lot of time looking for a parking spot because you'll be moving on quickly.

Solve for waypoint #2.

At the second waypoint, you will be taking place in a bit of a scavenger hunt, visiting landmarks in this area to fill in the answers to the questions. All of the landmarks are visible from the waypoint, but you will have to walk up to them to get the information.

    __ __ __ __ E=3rd Number

3) What year was General Stark's son Jr. born?

Using the numbers above, fill in the coordinates for waypoint #3 which is a short walk away.
