HRADNÝ POKLAD
Na bočnom hrebeni pohoria Veľká Fatra sa vo výške 626 m n.m. nad dolinou Kantor tesne nad obcou Sklabinský Podzámok nachádzajú zrúcaniny ranogotického Sklabinského hradu.
Prvá písomná zmienka o hrade pochádza z roku 1242, avšak miesto bolo pravdepodobne osídlené už za doby Veľkomoravskej ríše. Sklabiňa bol jedným z najdôležitejších turčianskych hradov a od roku 1328 bol do polovice 18. storočia sídlom turčianskej župy. V roku 1527 sa stal majiteľom hradu rod Révayovcov a vlastnil ho až do roku 1944, keď bol hrad počas SNP vypálený. Odvtedy je v ruinách. V súčasnosti je areál hradu vyčistený a sprístupnený verejnosti.
Výhľad na hrad, panorámu Martinských holí, Malej a Veľkej Fatry a celej Turčianskej kotliny je z N 49°03,370` E 019°01,010`.
Podľa jednej z mála povestí viažúcich sa k hradu bol hosťom 
na hrade aj Jánošík. Ten v noci po odchode z hradu rozdal poddaným z neďalekej obce Turčianska Štiavnicka 5000 dukátov. Cestou do dediny časť pokladu ukryl neďaleko hradu a ty ho môžeš nájst.

CASTLE TREASURE
One can find ruins of the early-gothic Sklabina castle on the south crest of Velká Fatra mountains in the altitude of 626 above sea-level above the Kantor valley and near the village Sklabinský Podzámok.
The first written evidence about the castle dates back to 1242 however the place was probably settled already during the Great Moravian Empire. Sklabina was one of the most important castles in Turiec region and was the seat of Turiec prefecture („župa“) from 1328 till the middle of 18th century. In 1527 the ownership of the castle passed to the Révay family and it remained in their possession until 1944 when it burned out during the Slovak National Uprising. Since that time it lies in ruins. Nowadays, the area of the castle has been cleaned and opened to the public.
One can see the castle, the sky-line of Martinské hole, Malá and Velká Fatra and the entire Turiec basin from N 49°03,370` E 019°01,010`.
As one of the legends connected to the Sklabina castle says, the castle housed also Juraj Jánošík (famous slovak „Robin Hood“). He, after leaving the castle one night, gave away 5000 ducats to the poor. He hid part of the treasure near the castle on his way to the village and you can find it.
