Mount Damavand is 18,403 feet tall. It is the highest peak in Iran; and as a stratovolcano, the representative for Asia on the Volcanic Seven Summits. Getting to the top of it, is actually fairly straightforward and described as an moderate hike. You just have to watch out for the elevation and the subsequent thin air and the cold of the higher elevation. Crampons are recommended to have with, but no other special equipment is needed. There is a straightish trail coming at the summit from the south. Surprisingly, you will be able to bag three geocaches on your up.
Who will lead you to the summit cache? (think tobacco)
