Can you help me? I am looking for a building number… This is a question we hear all the time at Stuvesant Town & Peter Cooper Village. I have been stopped by hundreds of delivery people trying to figure out where to deliver pizza, Chinese food or some other food delivery.
Stuyvesant Town is a sprawling collection of red brick apartment buildings with typical housing project-style architecture, stretching from First Avenue to Avenue C, between 14th and 20th Streets. It covers about 80 acres of land.Stuyvesant Town has 8,757 apartments and with its sister development Peter Cooper Village they have a combined 110 buildings, 11,250 apartments, and over 25,000 residents.
This multi cache will challenge your caching abilities and urban-style STEALTHNESS. There are 4 magnets (flat refrigerator type magnets approximately 2” X 4” in size) and a final micro cache. Each magnet has an address with a specific location of the next find (e.g. 622 E 20th St., South/East corner, bottom of fence), and the final magnet simply has the coordinates of the final location. Some buildings may have a Main level on one side of the building, and on the other side of the building would be Terrace level. This will add to the challenge of finding your way around. Be stealthy when getting the magnets. While you are walking around enjoy the beautiful lawns, playgrounds, and if it’s summer, the waterparks!! Bring your kids and take your time!
