Geocache Description:

This cache is placed on the northern slopes of Kit Hill Country Park. A park which is part of the Tamar Area of Natural Beauty and for it's mining history a World heritage site. Given to the people of Cornwall by the Duchy of Cornwall in 1985 to celebrate the birth of Prince Andrew. Enjoy this place and it's views as you search for this cache.

This used to be called ‘Kit Hill Coin Exchange’ but it didn’t work as on a number of occasions the coins disappeared. Has changed name and reverted to an ordinary traditional.

The cache is easily accessible with plenty of grass tracks through the gorse and bracken. When wet it may get muddy as ponies graze this heathland, so stout boots advisable. All old mine shafts are sealed and all are fenced off and signed.

Be aware this is a very popular dog walking area but although the cache site is not too far from a track it is reasonably hidden from prying eyes.
Car parking - Three car parks, first immediately on left as you enter the park, the second half way up the hill to the summit and one on the summit. The cache is easily accessible from car parks 1 & 2. Car Park 2 is the nearer.

This cache has been placed with the kind permission of the Country Park Ranger and complies to both Country Park and Geocaching guidelines..
