Geocache Description:

This cache is my first Regular-sized cache. You are looking for a fun filled container that is kid friendly. Feel free to drop off any Travel Bugs. Please mind the fence to the West of this cache.  If you travel a short distance South you can gain access; or come in from the North. Note: Watch for bunnies who like to hang out next to this cache and run way when you get near.

Welcome to the Garden District of the City of Milwaukee.  The area extending to the North and South of you used to be a sunken railroad bed.  It had been filled in around the 1950's with the construction of the Interstate. Over the last few years the open fields North of you have been been transformed into all sorts of great things. The UWM Extension runs the garden North of Howard Ave. The Town of Lake water tower overlooks the rentable garden spots South of Howard Ave. A gazebo will go in soon South of the small garden patches.  The bricked area next to Norwitch is the location of a summer Farmers Market on Saturdays, put on by the Garden District Neighborhood Association. On this side of Norwitch you have a parking lot ringed with a grove of fruit trees.  Just South of the parking lot are five hoop-greenhouses run by Milwaukee's own, Growing Power. There is more to come on this "Green-Corridor".
